Unbalanced load

1. If load becomes unbalanced will washer shut off automatically to prevent damage?
2. If load becomes unbalanced will an alarm sound to alert you?

This happened to me and the machine stopped. I was afraid I had damaged it but it worked just fine after I took out some of the garments.

How does this washer clean compared to a front loader

Everywhere I read that front loaders clean better than he top loaders. Is this true for this specific washer as well?

This washing machine cleans clothes just fine. I have had it only a short while but I am please with my purchase. It gets the job done!
