I use this for the outside speaker system, I have an 8 speaker system. It works great, and is reasonably priced, excellent product.

Fairly expensive for what you get, basic speaker wire, only 30 feet worth, costs about 75 cents a foot. Much better deals out there.

Can this be used with the amazon dot to send music through 4 rooms (2 speakers in each room)?

Should work with any hardwired speaker.

Can't get zone 4 to work

This is an electronic device. I have had several of them, if a single zone doesn't work, the item is defective and useless. There is no fixing this item unless you are an electronic technician. I would take it back and get another one or my money back.
