What's great about it: Easy to get up and running
What's not so great: Needs on/off switch
Pretty basic...removed from packaging, plugged it up and it worked. Would be nice to have a power button to use to cycle the power occasionally.

What's great about it: Value and simplicity
What's not so great: No on/off switch
Well...after returning one that just died for no reason (only a month old), the replacement seems okay. Not sure what happened, but did take note there was no power button to use to test or reset. Would have been useful after mounting and cable management to have a power button so I did not have to reach behind and unplug the power just to cycle it.
This product has... Fast connection, Easy to set up

What's great about it: Just works like it should.
What's not so great: Nothing.
I tried one of the $5 Thunderbolt to Ethernet adaptors you can pickup on eBay and such, and it simply did not work. After some research, learned it required drivers, manual setup, etc. So I shelled out the full price for the Apple product, plugged it in, and it simply worked. Lesson learned...you get what you pay for.

What's great about it: Extremely long battery life
What's not so great: Wish it had Retina display
As with most Apple products, the MB Air is a solid, well built laptop. The attention to quality is evidenced even in the packaging. Was please to pick this one up at such a discount. Make sure you get the 13.3" not because of the screen size as much as because it adds the SDXC card reader built in that the 11" does not have. You can easily and affordably add additional storage using this option.

Can this be used a a router

Can this be used with a cable modem as a router in a wired home network?
If this is all you have between your cable modem and your devices, it may not be ideal since it is not a managed device and does not provide any networking services like a firewall, DHCP (needed to provide IP addresses to connected devices), If you have other components that do this already and you simply want to add 4+1 ports of connectivity, then it is great.
