With two Power Line network adapters, one to the Main Router and the other one near our Samsung Ultra HD 4K TV, we were able to connect the TV directly to the Network Line. This makes the Internet content like You Tube watching fun uninterrupted.

I have R8000 on First Floor and R7000 on Ground Floor. I use a Network Powerline adapter to connect R7000 near the Ultra HD TV in the Family Room. R8000 is the Main Router and it works very well. Highly recommend it to purchase from Best Buy. They have thest knowledgeable Geeks to answer the technical questions, you might have. That makes the Best Buy the Best Place to shop.

we have netgear powerline adapter pair on second floor and first floor of house; can i add a third adapter for the basement?

Yes. You can add additional Network Adapter in the Basement.
