I do the accounting to the family business and the spreadsheets can be a mile wide. So rather than work between 2 monitors I changed up this ultra wide. I would have preferred a 34 inch ultra wide but the I couldn't really justify the higher price for the wider screen, which didn't really matter since there's no room for a bigger monitor anyway.
The resolution of this monitor is quite good but, again, that also does'nt matter to me as far as what I'm using it for.

What's great about it: Not a lot.
What's not so great: Limited uses
This is not a bad polarized len filter.. The useability however is more or less limited to medium to low light situations such as shaded areas and indoors. If a full poarizing effect is desired then I would sugest getting two of these len filters and screwing them together. Very doable and all for the amazing price of twice as much! A bonus is that with two filters stacked together you can actually see the filter ring through the viewfinder! Incredable effect and the more you use it, the more annoying it becomes! A hint I might give is to look to Walmart . They offer a Sunpac polarizing filter that has two filters (one can be rotated) mounted together. The problem with the Sunpac filters from Wallyworld is that a filter of 55mm in diameter is not available. Other then some other on-line source or specialty store, Best Buy seems to be the only place you can get filters of this size, and your prone to making impulse purchases, or are desperate. .

What's great about it: That amazing zoom lens.
What's not so great: No RAW
I first went to Best Buy with the intention of buying a Canon SX50 since all of my other cameras are Canon. The Sony is in the same "bridge camera" class as the Canon but is physically larger and fits my hand much better then the SX50. The controls on this Sony are also larger and easier to use which, in my experience, is a great departure from other Sony cameras that I've used. Normally the controls on Sony products are so small only a gnome with a magnifying glass and a toothpick could use them. I hate that! Anyway, the DSC-HX300 is very easy to use if you simply set the camera to one of the two automatic settings. In low light however the camera seems to take its sweet time processing the image. Yes folks, one or two seconds many seem to be a short period of time until you actually have to wait. I have had this camera for about a month now and the more I use it, the more I like it! Since I am more accustomed to using Canon cameras and since every camera has its own parculiar way of doing the voodoo that it does, adjusting things like the aperture are not as of yet automatic to me.
My primary use for this camera is to carry it along with me wherever I go. A camera bag is a must and fortunately Sony makes one that fits. A good quality lens filter is also a must and the Sony is ready to go without having to buy a special adaptor. It's great to have a camera that can go from up close to VERY FAR away quickly. While the Ziess lens is superb, even good glass is, and always will be, as clear as the air between you and whatever it is that you want to photograph.

What's great about it: Not much of anything really
The Rocketfish lens filter was used a few days and then set aside with the hope that I will never use it again. As soon as I could I ordered a B+W lens filter with a dust resistant coating. B+W filters are of a quality that makes Rocketfish look like a cheap piece of glass,... which it is.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Why is my camera dsc-hx300 process long time sometimes almost one minutes and sometimes i torn it off because it process long time and when i open it still processing? it happend 3 times now since i buy this camera the last was on july -12 -2013 my camera just sitting inside the house and i decided to go out and take pictures of the deer and it happend again..
I have the same issue with my camera as well. I take a shot of some geese and while the camera takes it's own sweet time processing, the geese take off and are 50 yards down range before I can take another photo. I'm guessing the reason for this unneccisary delay is that the camera is using a small image sensor and then converting ALL OF THAT visual data that is suppose to eventually produce a 13 X 19 printed photo.
