I decided I wanted something smaller than my other laptop with a 15.6" screen for portable use. I wasn't sure the Celeron processor would be fast enough but so far it's acceptable. It has a good looking touch screen and enough ports.

What's great about it: Good Value
What's not so great: Touch pad clicking is stiff.
I bought this for my wife to mainly use for email, play DVDs and Netflix.
I set it up for her adding programs and transferring files. Everything worked well except for the left/right touch pad buttons which are too stiff. The webcam is a low .3 mp resolution which is disappointing but she'll probably never use it. I got it on sale for under $200 and when you think what you get compared to a tablet this is a steal. It's light weight and I like the textured finish. After I bought it the price went up to $229 and Best Buy was offering a Toshiba with the same processor for the same price. The Toshiba has a HD webcam and 1 extra USB 2.0 port and better touch pad buttons. At that price I would probably go with the Toshiba. Although the reviews aren't quite as good I would probably chance it.
This product is... easy to set up, light weight, decent screen resolution
About me... Budget Conscious, Basic web surfing & emails, retired, Comfortable with technology

Logitech Wireless Combo MK320. The combo that puts entertainment and portability at your fingertips. With 11 hot keys, you’ll enjoy instant access to the things you do most. Low-profile, whisper-quiet keyboard helps make typing and surfing easy. And the mouse stores the tiny Logitech receiver, so you can take your mouse wherever you go.

What's great about it: Does everything I hoped it would do and does it well.
What's not so great: Small mouse and ugly color scheme.
The keyboard & mouse work fine. I wish the mouse wasn't so small. I don't have large hands and I use 2 computers so I am switching mice and keyboards often. The change from my slightly larger mouse to this Logitech mouse is an adjustment every time. I was considering the next model above the K330 which was more attractive and had a larger mouse. I asked a Best Buy employee for his expert opinion and he said the K330 keyboard had more dedicated keys than the step-up model did and that swayed my decision. I made the right choice. It's just the ugliest color scheme on a mouse I've ever seen.

Also what's the difference between Transcription foot pedal and the dragon?
A laptop with an intel i5 processor should do it. You will have to download Quicktime from the Apple website but It should have everything else you need already.

I would go with an "i" series intel processor. An i5 should serve you well.
