Although my Best Buy in store experience was a bad one the Wacom tablet is an affordable way to make the most of Photoshop without dropping a couple thousand on their higher end models.
Fun tool if you like to draw and edit photos!

I don't think this product is the best quality as far as fitting onto the back of the TV connections or for durability. It's replacing another Rocketfish HDMI that stopped working after about 2 years. But when you need an HDMI cable right away this one will work ok. Not the best price or quality.

What software is recommended for a beginner(person about 12 yrs old)

It comes with its own drivers as far as how you use it you need to either photoshop or another type of software that allows you to use it. Wacom doesn't supply those.
