My roommate goes to bed well before me. The back light keys are exactly what I needed. Additionally, it goes well with my gaming rig.
Aesthetically pleasing and very functional. Some people might want some more clickity-clack but this is a good compromise between the clickity-clack and silent/no depth styles.
I would recommend this to a friend!

software and tactile

Does anyone know if i would be able to hook this up to my 'work' computer without it trying to install software, etc. I am only looking to use it as a 'normal keyboard', but also want to know if this one has the tactile / sound when pressing a key or is it a soft touch keyboard with no sound?
This keyboard needed no extra hardware for windows 8.1and ubuntu 14.04 and 14.10. It does not make a whole lot of sound, but it does make some sound. It certainly is not the clickity-clack of the more expensive model, but it is louder than the average laptop keyboard. I would expect that it may be quieter than the standard workplace keyboard.
