What's great about it: Superb engineering, light weight, effective cleaning
What's not so great: Slightly expensive
I've heard the hype about Dyson products but in this case it seems to be justified. I'm amazed at the cleaning power they've packed into such a lightweight device. I love how far the cleaning hose extends and this vacuum pulls up an amazing amount of dirt, even from floors that seem clean. The suction automatically switches from the wand to the floor head when you drop the vacuum down for floor use and the ball makes it very maneuverable. I love the convenience of the bagless bin and washable filters. These machines are more expensive than other vacuums but so far it's been worth it.

Can brushroll be turned off?

specs say there is a motorized brushroll. if so, can it be turned off?
Yes, there's a button right next to the power button, just above the tank assembly.
