Needed a new switch to run one incoming Ethernet cable to two devices. Picked this one because I'd been told I needed a gigabit switch. I'm no network guru, so wasn't sure what to expect. No worries - plugged it in and everything worked just fine. So far, I've had no hiccups - both devices are on the network and humming along. Saved some $ by not having to get the outside IT pro involved.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Will This boost my internet and support it better than before?

Don't know about boosting internet performance, but I can tell you it was effortless to install and saved a lot effort running additional cables.
