What's great about it: Large screen, voice command and easy to follow directions.
This thing is easy to see in the sunlight with my sunglasses on. Large size screen makes everything easier to see. Best is it doesn't keep saying "Recalculating" all the time. It just does it and quickly. I love the voice command and it lets you find addresses, restaurants, etc. with ease.
My third Garmin. I wouldn't buy anything else.
This product has... Large/easy to see screen, Easy menus, Lifetime traffic, Free map updates, voice command, bluetooth

3D view for exit turns?

How do I get the 3D view to work on this GPS? The part where it goes to the split screen when your taking a certain exit? Does that feature have to link up through a smartphone or not?

Nothing to it. Just enable the 3 D view in your setup / tools menu and you are good to go.

why no user manual?

I bought this Garmin 2797 lmt and have no idea how to get it set up. There was no user manual in the box to explain anything. Its pretty confusing, it says about traffic updates but for some reason I cant seem to figure out if I've been duped into buying an additional piece of equipment just to make it work.
No extra equipment to buy. Just enable traffic in the setup/tools section and it works. It alerts you to delays ahead and suggests ways around them.
