Sound is good, setup was easy, my only real detractor in this is that the onscreen GUI is basic, very basic, large black box in the middle of the screen with basic white text.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi there, I tried using Kenwood Speakers, and when the volume gets past 13, the unit turns off

the speakers are old Kenwoods KS 201 HT, 100w 8ohm. The volume does not get loud what so ever before the unit goes into protection mode and shuts down.
Check your wiring, you may have a slow leak to ground.
