Wife loves to bake beef tri-tip & brisket slicer does xnlt cutting meats... Only downside is clean up. Somewhat difficult to get food out of every nook and cranny

Has all the bells & whistle's of your flagship type phones from Samsung, LG, Sony, etc. Very reliable, good battery, bright screen easy to see in sun light. My only complaint is processing speed, not Lte speed which is very fast!.. It says its a quad core but behaves like daul core, other than u can't beat for this price point..!

If it into short battery life, this tablet is for U ! Barely makes 1.5 to 2hours, didn't hold a charge when in standbye..when ur ready to use or need this tablet ur going to need to find a wall plug..
Also...tablet has a large (cheap) looking bezel surrounding the screen, tablet is also quite heavy & bulky by today's more modern, thinner, tablets.. I would not recommend overall

You can't find simple android apps like Facebook in the Amazon App Store..very restrictive device, if u like the Apple tv, then U will like this...I returned

Roku it self is a must have device, but if u want to screen mirror your phone or tablet forget it...it's about as stable as a house in a California Earthquake, tried various android devices connects then drops...or not at all. Microsoft Miracast is way more reliable for screen mirror

If we use our iPhones as hotspots(because no internet connection where we live) will they work off our iPhones?

Wow..good question I wondered bout that myself as for bringing with to a motels with bad wifi..I don't know., haven't tried yet, because see it uses your cell phone to setup, WiFi password, etc.. maybe use one iphone as a hotspot, and other to do the setup!! That might fool it!!

Is the battery replaceable?

I see that it has a 4000mah battery, but I'm wondering if it is hardwired in like the iPhone or replaceable if (when) it starts to lose capacity.
The battery is horrible in this tablet last like 30mins to 2hours max, didn't hold stanby charge neither. No U can't change the battery... I wish!!

Has anyone tried watching MLB.com games on this tablet?

I'm looking for a tablet, mainly to watch baseball games when I'm away from home. Has anyone had experience watching MLB games from mlb.com or the MLB app?
If so, with this tablet
1. would I need to download the MLB app or can I watch directly from mlb.com?
2. are there any problems with loading and watching the games?

There shouldn't be.... It has no problems with video...U may need app from playstore, but U should be good!

What if your tablet doesn't reset when you press side bottom???

My tablet doesn't get reset because my screen is locked
Run to nearest bestbuy store & return it!! Then run to something better

I don't see it mentioned anywhere within the specs. Does this unit support NFC for cameras etc.?
No way pal!!!...this is basically a $29 tablet (value wise)... I know u paid $89 or $99 but U get what u pay for

Does this tablet NS-P16AT08 typically take a while to load when you start it up? Now that I have loaded some apps ect. it seems to take a while to come up to icon screen.

Factory Screen Protector?

Does it come with a factory screen protector. I noticed the screen had a piece of tape at the corner of the screen, which I assumed would pull off the factory screen protector. It did not, but it seems like there is some type of screen cover on it.
No it does not come with a screen protector, but I recommend U purchase one right away due to tablet has a very cheap glass screen, which scratches permanently quite easily.

Streaming apps

I see that I can use my own videos by using apps like Windows Media Player or Real Player.

Can I also stream apps like Adobe Reader, MS Word or Excel - basically using my TV as a giant PC monitor? As a writer, to not have to look at a laptop screen for extended periods would be great
Nope...that would have to be Miracast function from Windows 8.1 or android device, I own Google Chromcast, it can do that function from Most version of Windows

The miracst function on the Roku Stick is very un-stable at best, it seems like it's in Beta-programming test stages...so far they've updated the software, but still pretty much useless for casting

What is the difference between Roku 1,2, and 3

Mainly processor speed...Roku 1 is like a single core, 2&3 are at least dual core processor. Plus the remote is Rf not infa red like roku 1, rf lest u use remote from another room for example
