I bought these on sale after i purchased a sherwood receiver, I originally purchased them because I was worried about the ohms impendence rating for the rear(surround) from the sherwood to walmart bought rca package speakers..they are rated 4ohms and the sherwood puts out 8 or6 to the back, but after reading about it... i just put these as the front. They go hard. love them and then had to upgrade from the rca center... and bought a new powered sub.... for a 9x11 room, i have like way too much speaker, but i love it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

powerful party speakers for laptop

haveing a party and my brother is the (DJ) so i want something that has alot of sound for a decetn price. also an added woofer would be nice.
i believe these speakers for the price, would be a hit at a party. I purchased a Polk Audio sub for around 150 that i barely turn 1/4 of the way up and it bumps the whole house.

Are these compatible with wired stereo systems?

The question is a bit vague, the speakers have a positive and negative terminal on the back, using speaker wire, you connect them to something. I use them with a Sherwood home theater receiver.

Connecting iphone

I bought these last Spring for my daughter. The salesman said there was an accessory I could purchase later that would allow her to listen to music from her iPhone through the speakers wirelessly. Do you know what that might have been? Thank you.
A bluetooth adaptor/ apple stream device. they are relatively cheap these days, I am not sure if they make one that you could directly wire the speakers to though. maybe buy a cheap home audio receiver and add bluetooth/apple receiver capabilities to the reciever. Bluetooth adaptor and apple stream devices are two separate things just to clarify.
