Easy setup with iOS app, and the hub and simple remote work well. The app needs some work though... When using it to control it is sometimes slow to connect, and freezes, or crashes are not uncommon.

Connection

Is this device controlled via Bluetooth or is wireless needed? Is IR sensor included?

It can control devices via Bluetooth (such as a PS3) but wireless internet is required. The hub has wifi, Bluetooth, built in ir blaster, and 2 ports for additional ir blasters. 1 ir blaster is included in the box. A smartphone (iPhone or android) is required for setup.
