Plasma TVs are super. Just an incredible picture. The viewing angle is superior to any "LED" (LCD) TV. The image brightness is perfectly uniform. Contrast is unbeatable. The price for this model made a great value in my book.
I used the "THX tune up" iPhone app (and an Apple TV module) to adjust the TV after I bought it. But to be honest it didn't really need it.
Any issues? 1) Reflection. I sometimes turn off my ceiling lights and/or close my blinds. 2) Product being discontinued. I believe this is true--I'm not an expert. I think LG may still be making plasma TVs. When I heard that there were some Samsungs in stock I scrambled to find one. 3) Rumors of the screen being fragile. I think it's the large thin glass that's the rumored problem. When I found out, I just was careful. I had NO trouble. 4) Burn in. I read I should turn the brightness down for the first couple of weeks, so I did. I avoided pillar box channels (bars on the side). 5) This model is not a smart TV. I use an Apple TV.
Beautiful TV. Period.
I would recommend this to a friend!

What are the differences between the PN60F5500AFXZA and PN60F5300AFXZA ?

Looking to purchase a 60" very soon.
I don't know. I believe it's the number of HDMI inputs and other similar features. Mr. Google will know though.

Should I buy Samsung still??

I'm in the market for a new tv and right now I've narrowed it to this Samsung Plasma tv and a Vizio 60 inch led smart tv. I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm leaning to getting the Vizio because of all the options not to mention the 4 hdmi, 2 USB etc... But I still cannot fully commit to the vizio I mean is Samsung worth going for even though it only has two hdmi ? So opinions and advice would be appreciated.
The Samsung picture is incredible! Any connection issues can be solved with an HDMI switch if you needed it or even better a receiver that provides HDMI switching.

Is there an antennae inout connection

Input for over the air
There is one F connector that may be connected to either a cable box or an antennae. It will tune in over-the-air broadcasts.

Can I use this for an auditorium presentation?

It's not portable. It's 70 lbs. and rather fragile. If it's permanently installed the auditorium lights would probably still need to be lowered.

what is the wattage of the Samsung 60" plasma ((the 5300)); i'd like the per hour watt rating, not the yearly usage of 177kWh listed in the specs.

I read it was 300 watts. (I don't remember where.)

does PN60F5300AFXZA swivel

does PN60F5300AFXZA swivel
Yes. The TV swivels on the stand that Samsung supplies. But the image is clear at all angles without swiveling.
