Replaced a 20 inch dell ultrasharp. This monitor is not as sharp but is fine for everyday use and games. No USB ports on monitor. No HDMI port..Happy with purchase.

can i use this to save my hard drive contents from my PC

Not really designed for that. You can get a much better hard drive for backing up data for less money. This is designed specifically for adding space to a DVR
