What's great about it: Great sale price.
What's not so great: There is nothing wrong about it.
I researched this Dyson for about five months. It was very hard for me to justify spending that much money on a vacuum ( I asked myself how can the make it that much better?) Oh let me tell you it works 10x better then my old upright.
This product is or has... Enough suction that a single-pass does the job, Right length hose, Useful tools, Great for stairs, easy to empty, A great pet hair picker upper, Long enough cord, Allergy filtration does the job, Easy to carry, Convenient to store

what is the length of the hose for extended cleaning

I have only used it up my stairs its about 15 feet with ease. I can reach up to my fan 12feet with ease.
