I've been checking out smart watches since they first came on the market and this one is hitting on all cylinders (for me). I like the messenger features, notifications, changeable faces and bands. It's a beautiful watch. Has the ability to reply to texts from the watch. The voice recognition is fantastic. Most times it types exactly what I say. Love it!

I purchased it for work, but it's becoming my go to device. Asus makes pretty decent products, I used to be a big fan of HP but they are less reliable these days.

I have a Moto Z Force Droid Cell phone and it has a USB-C cable with it, will the external hard drive allow me to transfer my pictures from phone to external hard drive with this cable, if not I don't know what to do with my 9000 photos.. please help.

Possible to install SSD?
Is it possible to swap out the HD for an SSD? If so, what SSD is compatible?Thank you.
If you're adventurous It looks like the bottom could be removed by taking out the 10 screws and I would think the HD and memory is readily accessible. Just watched a YouTube video on a different model and it looked fairly easy. I don't have a SSD recommendation.

Keyboard backlight?
Does the keyboard have backlight or not?
I believe that it does. I have the Q302LA-BHI3T11 and the Q302UA-BHI5T20 models in my office. I personally have the latter one and it does have keyboard backlight. The other model is in the field so I can't swear to it, but I believe the former also has keyboard.backlight. It's intensity is adjusted by the F3 and F4 keys. If you don't see the keyboard with a light symbol then it's not backlight.

Chronic blue screens on my unit, have only had for a few months? I have not even added office yet. Slow machine. Q302
If you upgraded to Windows 10, do a disk clean up and delete any old Windows 8.1 files. When I upgraded my HP it ran pretty slow so I purchased a 2TB HD because my 1TB was nearly full. Still ran slow, but after dis clean and removal of old windows installations it ran like it was brand new. FYI, if you have an older copy of office, it should work. MS has gotten greedy by making office a subscription based software at around $60 a year.

Where are the speakers located on this laptop?
My girlfriend has an ASUS laptop and the speakers are underneath the laptop. I want to know if the speakers are on the bottom of this as well because that is not practical for me since I often have the laptop on my lap.
Yes kinda, they are located on the side in the beveled edge. Not exactly on the bottom but close enough.

Are the specifications the same as the 500 gb?
Do the laptops look the same/ does the 1 T have the same abilities? IE tent mode and tablet mode, etc that the 500 gb option has?
I have both and the biggest difference is of course the storage, but the 1TB has an I5 processor vs the 500GB has an I3 processor.

Yes, you'll be prompted to enable on-screen keyboard.

ethernet connection
where is the external port for the ethernet connetion.Is this a wireless only machine?
This device doesn't come with an Ethernet port. You have to purchase a usb Ethernet adapter. Got mine from Amazon for like $20 bucks and it has 3 usb ports.

I purchased this laptop 2 days ago and still have not received the email with the free software subscriptions -- Webroot and others. How do I get access to this? I have a best buy account already! Help
