Plugged it in and there was no problems at all. Used it on a computer without an older connection.

I was very pleased with the unit. In fact I purchased two of them, one for my wife's office as well. The price is good and I will see if it lasts.

My phone says No AC adapter? What does that exactly mean?

There is no need for any special adapter. It comes with a plug you plug into the wall or surge protector outlet and the other end into the phone.
