It won't stay on when it has been charged. We just get a flash and then it's off.

Try resetting back to factory, sounds like an update didnot load correct.

What is the age range of the children?

I am quite interested in this, however I want to know what ages of children is this most appropriate for?
Great for any age. Purchased it for my 8 year old.
