What's great about it: Easy to use. fun games
What's not so great: If you need to replace the kindle with a new one your game progress WILL NOT SAVE!
I love my kindle. It is second to my IPad only because game progress will not be recovered if you need to replace your device!
This product is... responsive touch screen, Good sound quality, easy to set up, Variety of apps available, A nice compact size, Easy to navigate, Comfortable to hold

New. No, the service agreement"warranty" is for the same year but it does cover damage. Manufacturer's warranty does not cover damage. I dropped my 1st one and the Geek Squad Protection I bought covered a replacement! Yay for GSP service!
