While these headphones aren't audiophile, they work well for what I need. I use them at work with the supplied USB dongle (that PC doesn't have bluetooth) to listen to music and podcasts, and also as a headset for webex (conference calls).
I also use them at home with my bluetooth enabled Laptop for conference calls. I have a big head, and some headphones are too tight. These are comfortable for me.
Only downside might be the battery life, giving me about 6 hours on a charge, however they can still be used while plugged in to a USB charging port with a long enough cord, just not as portable.

Anywhere to buy a spare USB receiver for the h800 headset?
I misplaced the usb receiver and after an online search I found the part but they wouldn't ship to the United States? Also saw 1 on Amazon for $40 anyone have any suggestion for something in between?
If you can't find the supplied USB dongle, since this headphone supports both bluetooth and the supplied receiver (which is NOT bluetooth), you could get a bluetooth dongle (or perhaps your PC has bluetooth built-in?), and use it in bluetooth mode.

What position should this headset be on to charge ?
It doesn't matter, it will charge either way, but probably will take a little longer to charge if it is not in the off position.
