Easy to use, basically plug and play. Very compact and comes with a small case to carry with it.

what to do when passport did not appear on the desktop

-Check that usb light is blinking, if not try another usb port. If that still does not work then cable could be bad.
-Check device manager(Right click on My Computer, Manage, Device Manager) to see if any services are unknown (this could be your HD drive).
-Check WD website for software downloads, install new software, try plugging drive in again
