Does this bracket need studs to be mounted

I just moved into a condo where the studs are 24 inches apart. I own the rf-TVMFM03V2 and I can not mount the bracket and I just noticed on the owners manual it says for wood studs only. I have a 50 inch Panasonic plasma tv. Can this wall mount be used without the wood studs and if not which wall mount do you recommend
Any wall mount should be installed by anchoring the screws/lags into wall studs. I wouldn't trust picture anchors to hold the tv; especially a 50". You may have to go with a tv stand if you don't have any studs in your wall. You could drill a hole in the middle of the bracket or end to hit the studs that are 24" apart.
