I bought this on the rec of a BB sales person to improve home performance with a Netgear router, and save on Xfinity fees, but really there was no change or a decline in performance and maybe I will save money in a few years - buying this though was a waste of money for us, as we get worse internet drops than before.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The BB sales clerk talked me into upgrading my Xfinity supplied router with a new Netgear router and a cable modem, and I could save the Xfinity fees. I guess I save some fees, but there was no improvement in performance in our house - to the contrary, we seem to continually lose connection with this Netgear router. A waste of our money, sadly.

Cable wirless

If I purchase this modem, there is no need to keep the Time Warner wireless services and modem correct? In other words, this replaces the wireless I pay for through time warner?
Yes, you can return the TW box and get the charges eliminated from your account.
