What I love:
- slim model that doesn't take up much space
- nature sounds
- multiple alarms
What I don't love:
- alarm reset button is hard to find (I end up turning the alarm off and back on to reset)
- blue light (blue lights can interfere with sleep patterns, should've been an orange backlight)
- too bright (even the dimmed selection is too bright for me)

I walked into the store to check out a couple of sound bars for the 55 inch TV in my living room. Saw a LG one and a Sony one on sale so wanted to compare them. The store had a section set up with a few Sony sound bars that you could demo. After hearing this Sony sound bar in the store, I was sold! It was easy to hook up and love not having all of the different speakers to set up like my old sound system had. Movies sound awesome and the kids love hearing their video games in theater quality.
I would recommend this to a friend!

All around great TV. Picture is quality and sound is good. We didn't need or want the Smart TV features so this TV was perfect for my family. Only downside is that if you plan on placing it on a stand, make sure your stand is big enough. The TV comes with two 'feet' that set up on the outside corners vs. a single stand in the middle of the TV.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Is the clock loud when playing music?

I have the volume set on 20 for the radio alarm. Very loud and that's not the highest it can go.

can I use this speaker system independant of the TV?

for example, can I also connect the speaker system to a radio tuner, AM/FM, and listen to public radio using these speakers. getting double duty out of them.
This sound bar has three HDMI slots that you can use for additional equipment besides the TV. Also has one traditional audio jack. So as long as your equipment is HDMI capable, you can use the sound bar independent of the TV.

You can use this if you TV is not bluetooth correct?

I read one of your answers and it sounded like the blue tooth was between the sound bar channel and the subwoofer, so not needed on our SONY TV (A 48 inch one about 4 years old)....
Correct. The wireless functionality is between the sound bar and the subwoofer. I don't have a Smart TV. My 55 inch LG flat screen is hooked to the sound bar by the digital optical output jack.
