I purchased this cable because I needed to plug a mouse into a computer and there was no space near the computer to use a mouse. This cable allowed me to use the mouse on a flat surface a few feet farther away than the mouse's cable would allow.

Can this Drive be used for more than one computer, one with Windows 7 and another with Windows XP?

I have a Desktop with Windows XP Media Center Edition32 bit and a Laptop with Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Can the same External Drive be used for backing up from both these computers?
Yes the windows backup system will create a separate image/file for each windows machine.
