Motorized brush

I realize the PET MODELS have the motorized brush but we do not have pets and was wondering if it would clean as well. From the one answer I rec'd previously, it sounds like he was not sure but that I should vacuum more often. I can do that with a much less expensive vacuum.
I had the pet model before and was concerned about the same thing. I think this one works just as good. I think it cleans well and am happy I saved the extra bucks since I don't have pets.
