What's great about it: easy to use, light weight, good price
What's not so great: playback audio on the camera itself is too low. Hard to re-watch on the camera itself.
I bought this primarily to record my Deaf students signing in ASL However, my first use of it was to film my daughter starring in a play in high school. I bought the camera and then ran to the performance, literally taking the camera out of the box in my seat in the auditorium. I had to figure it out in the dark. I did take a few pics instead of video at first, but it was so intuitive that I was able to film pretty easily without being able to really see the camera. It filmed beautifully in the low light of the theater and the pics were good in the low light as well.
Downloading to the computer was super fast and clips of my daughter's solos were on Facebook the next day.

Does it have built-in flash memory or it required purchase of the flash memory card?

You have to buy the flash memory card.

Compatibility

Are the videos easily downloaded to a MAC? I have a SONY camcorder from 7 years ago and cannot download to a MAC
I have a MAC and it was super easy to download the videos.
