Purchased as a gift to my hi-tech wife who already has every gizmo known to mankind, and she loves it! Boots up just before pushing the ON button (almost). Super thin and light, but seriously powerful. She uses both laptop and tablet modes, and it all works flawlessly. We added an inexpensive usb hub to compensate for the lack of an sd card slot. Otherwise, this thing is amazing.

We bought a Sony 7.1 receiver, two of these bookshelf speakers for front L/R, and added the Klipsh quintet speakers for Center, surround and back, along with a powered sub. Works GREAT. Super clear and detailed sound. Actually happy to have a bit more speaker for Front rather than the smaller surround speakers, especially when running music and internet radio.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I paired this receiver with a small set of Klipsch bookshelf speakers and the Klipsch quintet surround speakers, and a powered sub. It was fairly easy to set up, with hiding the wires the hardest part. So many sound and processing options that it was a little confusing to match settings on my BD player and the receiver to get good surround. We also actually noticed an improvement in picture quality through the receiver ... sharper somehow.

After two Home theater in a Box systems, we finally went 7.1 with Sony receiver and Klipsh speakers ... what a difference quality makes! Not really a huge difference between 5.1 and 7.1, but the clarity of these speakers is huge. Full, rich sound that's well-defined and super clear. We can hear every detail going on now. Voices are easier to follow, and even tiny backgrounds sounds discernable.

My 3rd Samsung bluray ... definitely better than the older models. Streams much better with less lockups and starts up very fast. Picture quality is better too, sharper than older 3D model. Only complaint is that user can't customize the apps screen to put the ones we want on the home page.

They are passive speakers ... no amp built in.

No ... they are passive speakers. They require a power amp or receiver.

Do these speakers have the very simple push/release connectors that EPI speakers have ?
These have a very high quality push connectors to the 2 speaker wires.

Are these Bluetooth ready
No ... these are passive speakers. They have to be connected to a receiver ... then, depending on your receiver, maybe it would be Bluetooth capable.

Will this receiver work with my sony speakers rated at 2.7 ohms ?
I believe that the receiver has an impedance range of 6-16 ohms, so your speakers are way low and may cause damage to the power amp.

I have a receiver already are these speakers compadale to my receiver it's a sony
I use them with a Sony receiver. The important thing to check is impedance range of your power amp. My Sony requires 6-16 ohms, and these speakers are 8ohms ... no problem.
