What's great about it: power cord, works great for small projects, hand held
What's not so great: short battery /charging life
Love the design, orange is my fav color. This does not serve as a primary vac. Its a hand held. ideal for a quick, small job. I don't see myself using this to clean my SUV as it's hand held and small, but the great thing about it is, my accessories for DC41 complete attach to the mouth. The sound is similar to a blow dryer.

What's great about it: D41 complete comes with added accessories
What's not so great: It's heavier than DC41 purple
Purchased this to keep Lupe (our awesome maid) happy. We recently purchased a property with more square footage than previous property. We wanted a cleaning tool that covers a lot more ground than its competitors to make Lupe feel valued and keep her from quitting.
Best part about it is I got a great deal through Best Buy. It's quiet for being an upright vac as powerful it is. It is easy to store and use. The cord is fairly long, great for people who dislike switching outlets during vac sessions. To be honest, I haven't really used it as much as Lupe and my best half have, so I can only comment on what I've heard from them.
Overall, Dyson's are generally known for being quality products, so the amount initially spent is an investment as the product is long lasting.
If I were to go back, I may choose DC41 rather than DC41 Complete as DC41 is lighter. I chose DC41 Complete vs. DC41 Animal because of the color. I figured, fuchsia is much more appealing than purple. However, if you compare the specs-they are very similar.

Is the cord retractable and is there a place to store it. Tried putting it back where I first pulled it out, but it was impossible.

It's not retractable. That would be a cool feature, but imagine if the retractable feature broke? That would be a pain. I do know from what see, you just roll it up.
