What's great about it: excellent screen, s pen, pressure sensitivity, good size, light, infrared
What's not so great: expensive, not a lot of memory, speakers face down
The reason why the price is so high is because of the s pen feature. In that aspect, I feel it's worth the price. If a pressure sensitive stylus is not important for you, then this is a tablet you should probably pass up. (Keep in mind, this IS one of the few tablets out there that do have a pressure sensitive wacom digitizer.)
The tablet has a great screen. Good contrast and saturation balance, which is important if you're getting this tablet for artistic purposes. Compared to the Nexus 7, the screen is much more vibrant, and generally appears to be of better quality. What it lacks in pixel density it more than makes up for it in general lcd quality. It has a better back light.
The s pen works great and note taking is excellent with the right apps. S note is good for this, but there are several other apps out there worth checking out.
While this tablet has a similar processor to the Note 10.1 (however 10.1 ranks at 1.4Ghz, while the Note 8.0 is at 1.6 Ghz) it functions at a greater speed. The lag I noted while testing the Note 10.1 has been greatly reduced on the Note 8.0, I'm not sure whether to contribute this to a smaller screen or not. Basically the stylus is definitely more accurate on this tablet. The lag is very minimal. I recommend checking out one in person before purchase though, just to make sure it processes at an acceptable speed for you. With this increase in processing power, the tablet is excellent at multitasking by the way.
Some of the bad, Samsung has yet to release a model with more memory. Ranking in at 16 GB, you have around 10 GB of usable memory. Sure, they'll tell you, you can simply throw in an SD card... However that SD card does NOT store apps. It can store some basic media however, like photos. This can become a serious issue for some consumers who are looking for a tablet to put under heavy use.
A note on the speakers, they are not forward facing, like on the Note 10.1. They face downward. It's a rather dumb design on that part. The speakers, despite that sound good. At least they aren't on the BACK of the device, like many other tablets.
Finally, one last issue, but not terrible, the back left hand corner of the tablet can get fairly warm under heavy use. The Nexus 7 had a better heat sink.
This product is... responsive touch screen, Good sound quality, lightning fast, Perfect for Business, Variety of apps available, A nice compact size, Sharp graphics, Great screen size, Comfortable to hold, able to multitask
About me... Budget Conscious, Student, traveler, Comfortable with technology
I would recommend this to a friend!

 Bose - SoundLink® Wireless Around-Ear Headphones - Black
Bose - SoundLink® Wireless Around-Ear Headphones - Black
Formerly called Bose® AE2w Bluetooth headphones, these Bose® SoundLink® around-ear headphones feature Bluetooth technology and earcup controls for simple operation of certain Apple® iPad® functions and rich wireless audio.

Is there an airplane mode for the AE2w if you want to listen to music on an IPad Also is there a jack lead to plug it into the aircraft system

I do not believe there is an airplane mode... However there is a wire that comes with the headphones that can replace the Bluetooth module and directly plug into any jack.

Is the ematic eglide manufacture warranty dependable?

I purchased a 7" 4gb wifi tablet w/android from Fingerhut in September "11. Starting in October the touch screen started to malfunction, then by November the tablet wouldn't charge correctly. I've contacted ematic about the problem and warranty, just curious if ematic warranty is dependable and will my product be replaced?
You bout it in 2011? I doubt that warranty still covers it. What tablet model is it?
