What's great about it: Caught this luggable on Sale
What's not so great: Keep getting the dreaded "Blue Screen" and Bluetooth Issues
The first day I used this lug-gable(the laptop is HEAVY), the device unexpectedly shut-down and rebooted: I got an error message stating, "Not Less Or Equal." Then the computer would go through some type of update upon restart! When I looked at the log files, apparently the same error had occurred on this model 2 months before I even bought it(brand new - out the box), which I didn't even notice until a month later.
I initially assumed that this was some small issue that I was experiencing on this brand "spanking-new" PC, after running Glary Utilities to remove some of the excessive Bloatware that this PC came preloaded with.So I overlooked it - to my chagrin :(
Within the first week I needed to bring it into the Geek Squad to have them identify why the Bluetooth was not working properly with any of my devices or peripherals. I paid $399 for a 3 year service contract with the Geek Squad at Best Buy. When the geek couldn't figure-out the problem, he ask me, "How is the Bluetooth on this PC supposed to work, when it is working?" -- Needless to say, "I was stunned."
The geek eventually, admitted to me that there were other folk who came in with the same issue concerning Bluetooth used on the Windows 8.1 OS and even their advanced tech couldn't resolve this same issue.
The Geek suggested that I return the computer, since it was within my 14 day return window or call Microsoft for support.
I chose to keep the computer, since I really needed to take care of very important business online over the next few weeks and besides, "my old laptop was unreliable" at that point.
Obviously with that said, this Laptop has every other feature one could want in a notebook. So I will be bringing this laptop to the Geek Squad to see if they can repair the Blue Screen issue, which still occurs every other day now.
The only other issue with this laptop is the keyboard and touchscreen; you need to tap well on either to get a response!
HP's built-in cam is still the worst on the market - Choose the Dell Inspiron instead, if that specification is important to you!
The wireless adapter works with a dual band router -- So you will be able to get 2g and5g bands definitely. However, my old HP laptop gets a far more stable 5g connection with its dual band capacity than this new 802.11ac adapter - The first Wi-Fi standard to provide gigabit performance . . . Go figure? :(
I cannot recommend this for someone who would use this for school, Skype, Bluetooth or simply on-the-go! If battery life is very important, you might get a bit more battery life out of the Dell Inspiron.
This product is... Big screen size, easy to set up, bulky, very poor cam quality, decent sound quality, excellent picture quality, backlit keyboard with poor receptivity, touchpad with poor receptivity, heavy laptop, mutiple tabs can tend to be a bit "buggy!"
About me... Basic web surfing & emails
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have been using my Samsung Galaxy S 5 phone to be able to watch stuff from my cell phone on my t.v. I know that this laptop is able to do that also, I just don't know how to turn it on. Help please!
