You should contact Dell customer support to confirm before ordering. Also many Dell 7000 series 2-1 have Solid State Drives (SSD) so if you have a solid state drive and replace with a SATA traditional hard drive, you will notice slower performance than your original hard drive produced, at least when it was new.
