a good replacement for broken computer speakers. not too powerful though but will do. can be used to enhance laptop sound if you want.

the blu ray version of this movie had an annoying sound track on it when the plane went down. it was especially annoying if you have a surround sound system.

even though this is not as fast as a 3.0 flash drive (only 2.0), this flash drive will be able to store many photos, your music, and many other files you may need.

if you need more than one hdmi output, then this is the box you will need. however, if you need to split the hdmi signal into to signals, then you will need a hdmi splitter instead.

with 3 hdmi inputs and many other inputs for all your external devices, this tv does it all. 1080p picture quality. the only thing it lacks is internet capability but for the price this tv can not be beat.

this unit is a lot better for transferring vcr tapes to dvd or the reverse. only problem is with copyrighted programing which will not record to dvd. you will get an error message if you try. otherwise it is a great unit.

I do have a cable box. Do I still need a separate tuner?

I'm using an old Panasonic TV that must have a tuner since it's a TV, dvd, vcr combo.
no. your cable box is your tuner. all you have to do is connect your cable box to the recorder and then from the recorder to the tv.

Can I record movies from cable box to DVD disk on recorder?

sometimes. many times, however, the movies are copyrighted and this recorder will say that it cannot record your movie because it is copyrighted.

Built in tuner

Does this DVD recorder have a built in tuner? If not, can you give me the model name and number? Thank you
no built in tuner. very few recorders now a days have any tuners in them at all. need an external source (ex. cable box, converter, any device that can receive a tv signal) in order for it to record broadcasts.

Editing DVD-R on a laptop?

Can the DVD-R be inserted in a laptop for final editing, such as: naming the discs? naming the chapters? etc?
Can an audio track be added after the dubbing?
no. it must be finalized by this machine first. the laptop will not recognize the DVD if you do not finalize it in the machine first.

I have an HD antenna TV. Will I need a converter box to use this device ?

want to convert old VHS tapes to DVD's and or tape shows off of TV programs to DVD's--will a converter box be necessary
you can convert VHS tapes to DVD without a converter box. However, you will need one if you want to record something that is broadcast over the air. this unit has no tuner in it.

probably not that long since these speakers were on close out. they do not carry them anymore. You will have to find out if your local best buy or best buy online carries them any more.

record on tape

I'm able to record on the dvd,but not on the tape.
you can do both because they are both recorders. there are two models of this device. the cheaper one is basically for playback of dvd and vcr tapes and the more expensive one records and plays back both vcr tapes and dvd discs.

Is the sound system wireless?

I dont see any wires connected to speakers from the subwoofer. Is the picture missing something or is it really wireless?
