I have 3 of these, one for each TV. The Chromecast makes it easy to connect any PC, Android tablet, or Android phone to a TV by casting the screen of the device to the TV with the Chromecast. Takes only a few minutes to setup. I can watch web content (YouTube, etc., web pages) on any TV in the house. Just make sure you have a stable signal to/from your wireless router. I use the included USB cable and AC adapter to power the Chromecasts so that they are always on and ready to go. If you use a powered USB port on the TV the Chromecast may turn off when you turn off the TV.

This cover provides great protection for the front AND back of the S10.5. It is a little tricky to fasten it, you have to push fairly hard on the screen to get the two fasteners on the back of the S10.5 and the catches on the cover to "connect". There is an opening on the back of the cover that allows the camera and flash to be used.

The S10.5 is better than the iPad Air. You are not tied to the Apple iTunes evil empire. The display is much better than the iPad Air's. The ability to have 32GB of main storage plus the micro-SD card means you are not short of storage room. Those who complain about TouchWiz: You can disable it almost completely using the Developer Options settings. Most of the bloatware, much of which is required by Google not Samsung, can be disabled.

What's great about it: Ease of use, good price, small, FM tuner built-in, 16GB of storage, no touch screen, not tied to iTunes

What's not so great: Shorter battery life than previous model, no built-in speakers

Sony makes the best MP3 players for those not wishing to be tied to the Evil Empire of Apple's iTunes. You have full control of "YOUR" music and audio books. I can use Windows Explorer or Sony Content Transfer to transfer files back and forth. I prefer Sony Media Manager over Windows Media Player for ripping CDs to MP3 files.

The menus and controls are well laid out and easy to navigate. We use our Walkmans for music and audio books. The display is adequate for selecting what you are going to listen too.

We choose everything via the Folders option. I installed Maple Lite on my Android phone so it would emulate the Sony Folder option for listening to audio books. The lack of a touch screen is a plus in my opinion.

I bought two of these to serve as eventual replacements for our older NWZ-S545 16GB models which replaced the previous generation 4GB model. And I have three sets of the USB-to-Sony Walkman cables as well.

What's not so great: iPad tends to wiggle when you tap on screen

Good cheap stand. Compact and light. Fits nicely in a neoprene sleeve that came with an old Eee PC that I use for power adapters and USB cables.

What's great about it: Easy to set up, good price, full functions

What's not so great: Keys must be pressed precisely, Must be ponited directly at IR sensor on TV

I bought this to replace a remote for a Samsung 23" TV/monitor that had some inoperative buttons. It was easy to program to replace the Samsung. All the original remote menu functions work with the RCA remote.

The only minuses are: the buttons have to be pressed firmly to make sure they do their thing; the remote has to be pointed directly at the corner of the TV where the IR receiver on the TV is located.

Otherwise for $10 this remote is an excellent bargain.

Will this allow you to cast in a hotel room that requires a log in page from a website?

I was going to try this. The Chromecast needs a WiFi connection to the same router as your PC is connected to. Give it a try, we have nothing to lose but our chains.

No. The Chromecast like its name suggests casts screen content from a PC, tablet or phone to the TV.

My neighbour lets me use his WiFi so can I connect without pressing the wps button on the router? will it pick up multiple WiFi's and connect to open and secured accounts(with appropriate passwords of course)

Yes as long as you know the SSID and the wifi password for the router.

Best Answer

The "power cord" is a combination USB cable and a charging cable. The S10.5 when connected to a PC acts as an external USB drive. You can transfer files back and forth at will. You can use any micro-USB to USB cable that you have. I have a collection of these from 1 foot to 6 feet long.

However, you can only connect to the Google Play store, the internet, and Apps that need the internet by WiFi. You can use any 5V wall charger device that you happen to have to recharge the device and it will charge the battery when hooked to a "powered" (not through a passive USB hub device) USB jack on a PC.
