Balien is an honorable blacksmith in a European village drawn out by circumstances to fight corrupted religious leaders as he struggles to save many peaceful people from persecution and murder during one of the 12th century crusades. Orlando Bloom leads many well cast and performed roles portraying various cultures and social classes in one of the more realistic period piece movies made. This movie could be used in classrooms to explore the clash of civilizations where so-called leaders exploit widespread ignorance through fear of authority and spread violence pretending it is sanctioned or even desired by the source of all Love. Some characters demonstrate how honorable people may honor free-will choices to be loving and honest, while other characters choose violence to deny the free-will choices of others. Some learn that there is no true love or true faith without individual free-will choice. You may enjoy the realistic depiction of daily life of the powerful versus the poor and how the poor pay the immeasurably painful price of the power greedy leaders whom they did not even get to elect. The warfare is realistic and epic in scale while the friendships and romance are thoughtful and heart touching. Much more can be written about it as this is one of the best movies made.

In a fictional Republic of Zubrowka a clever concierge works schemes to achieve dreams. Many a-list actors add long or brief period piece performances to tell a comedic romantic tail laced in layers of intrigue and suspense. We can have a few drinks and enjoy the slapstick chic or notice details that intertwine over time to reveal what and who and why and how things got so crazy.

Julia Stiles does a great job as Nicky Parsons fighting for truth and justice. Matt Damon as Jason Bourne warns and protects her as well as can be done. Tommy Lee Jones seems aged past retirement playng CIA Director Robert Dewey who works his evil political tactics against Bourne. He uses (Alicia Vikander as) Heather Lee the clever CIA operations controller. who seems way too young and beautiful for such a senior leadership position. Suspenseful plot twists and turns keep it entertaining. The story is loosely based on the actual pitiful CIA MK Ultra program where power lusting political officials deluded themselves into thinking they existed above the law or ethics. Bourne fights back and we admire him for it.

I had a 3 year old Roku stick which was a lot better than broadcast antenna service but with the Roku stick I often waited through long pauses while the data was buffering. The Fire TV (2015 model) is a small box on my flat screen TV stand which provides a fast friendly interface to fast streaming entertainment and almost no buffering waits. I like the small tapered remote control which is light and easy to hold and point while browsing the many options. Amazon offers Prime members a very large array of entertainment and learning selections to enjoy.

After climate change freezes the planet an extreme survival train with a small population struggles to stay on track. We learn what's going on as some of the characters do. The elite take care of themselves at everyone else' expense so the masses eventually want justice. This common theme is presented with very good cinematography and CGI and acting even bearing with occasionally unreal dialogue. Some of the characters seem real and likeable so we learn to hope for them on the wild ride through an endless blizzard.

Andrew Garfield's version plays to the tech-gen as a thoughtful outsider searching for answers. Emma Stone's Gwen seems too mature. Rhys Ifans (Danny Deckchair) teeters between good acting and comic-charactering. The CGI is top notch. The story is re-too-old. Sally Field and Martin Sheen nail it; creating a mixed bag yet it's all good fun with great action. Even Denis Leary adds depth under cop stereo types. Don't ponder the mismatched mass physics of the large lizard tussles.

Matt Damon's character Max works in a year-2159 police robot factory on a poverty and strife laden earth under the eyes of the tenth of one percent elite who orbit earth in a massive spinning city where they lay on genetic restoration surgery tables to fully recover from all illness or injury. Jodie Foster's character runs the show up there with cold disregard for the surface dwellers. Max finally figures out that things can change and how... Enjoy believable characters with high tech and high action; just don't ask where the resources came from to build that massive thing in orbit.

This TV is light enough and has rear screw mounts to attach to an under-cabinet TV mount or the wall but you still need to hook it to a signal source; such as a HDMI DVD player and/or cable-TV or TV-dish and/or an antenna. It has a good tuner and got several SW Ohio local stations from a 24" wing antenna in the house. You'll also need an electric wall plug within about ten feet.
