I just recently bought this and so far I love it. I had 4 Bose mini Sounlink speakers in a year. I kept having to take them back because they stopped working properly.
The UE Boom speaker has an App to control certain things from your smartphone. You can turn it off or on. Has an equalizer with about 4 different sounds you can play like having extra Bass. Sound comes out really good. It has an alarm clock you can use. And it has a battery symbol on the corner of your screen to help you keep track of the battery life. It plays up to a good 15 hours and you can control the volume too from your phone as well. It also can be a speaker phone so you can have calls go to the speaker. They also come in various designs and colors which I really like as well. Has only a power button and a volume button on it. Not hard to connect to a device either. It says you can take the speaker apart and replace the battery, so I'm not sure how that works and I haven't reached that point yet. I just wish they had like clear skin cases to help prevent from scratches because it lays standing up and when windy outside it will fall or roll.

The Bose Mini Soundlink I had to keep replacing. As I kept replacing them they got better on improving the speaker but still never lasted long. They would rather stop working as far as playing music through them or playing the music fully charged and no cord would only last 30 min or less and shut off. I talked to Bose plenty of times to try to fix the issues but nothing worked and they always wanted me to send it in to get fixed which would take like a month. The speaker fully charged without a cord or the cradle would last like 5 to 7 hours. If you attached the cradle it will help last a few more hours. Sometimes having in plugged in is better. The sound is great!!! Has a power button, a Bluetooth connect button to help you connect a device to it, mute and volume buttons. Sometimes it can be hard to connect to a device. You can use an aux cord with it as well if you choose to do so. You would have to have your phone volume and its volume all the way up to play to its maximum sound. Controlling the two different volumes from phone to the speaker can be annoying as well.
I was sad to exchange my Bose for something else but I am really loving the UE Boom more. Just hope it lasts.

The sound of the speaker is great!!!! But this is my 4th one. They never seem to last long. Mostly the problems I have had were it just stopped playing music or it would charge and only play music for so long. The cradle charger can be a hassle as well to carry but it does play music longer.
I recently took it back because the speaker would shut off after 30 min. Fully charged and I have talked to Bose multiple times on issues and they could never help just wanted me to spend money to turn it in to get fixed which would take like a month.

I got this as a gift for my Aunt and she loves it. She has little competitions with her friends with it. They mostly have the wrist Fitbit which she noticed was a lot easier for them to get steps because all it takes is for them to move their arm.

So far so good! It holds a lot of documents. It's portable is what I like. The wireless works ok but could be better. The app to use it has a lot of issues. It's hard to find what you are looking for when you are using the app. Pictures don't show up for everything to help find things easy so you will spend time clicking on each picture until you find what you are looking for. Transferring pictures via wireless can be slow. I just hook the Hard Drive up to the computer to make things faster and to help organize my pictures and videos and documents more. Other than that it's not too bad. They need to work on the App more.

Bose color link doesn't hold a charge
I received this as a gift last year and it doesn't hold a charge. I have only used it a handful of times so I do not believe I burned out the battery. I mean how can you burn out a battery using it less than 10 times. At first I thought I had forgot to turn it off or it accidentally turned on in my luggage. But the last two times I have charged it a few hours and used for maybe 1-2 hours, turned it off. And the next day it was dead and wouldn't turn on until connected to battery source to recharge. What type of warranty is there? It was bought at best buy with a silver rewards members number.
I had that problem a lot. I went through 4 speakers in a year. I was able to keep returning because I had a 2 year warranty plan on it through best buy. I recently just two days ago finally exchanged it for something else's. I just bought a UE boom and you can go and check out my review on that. I talked to Bose plenty of times on that issue and they could never fix it. The one thing you might try is a reset which is holding the mute button down for 10 seconds until all lights shut off. If that doesn't work Bose might make you send it in but for a charge to get fixed. I'm not sure what Best buy can do if you don't have a warranty. All I can say is sell it on eBay or something and get your money and you might want to try the UE Boom. Again check out my review, is a lot better. Good luck!

Sound comes out only from Front "Bose" side... Help!
After getting this as a graduation present, I've had this for 7 months and I've noticed my speaker lost its loudness. It only plays sound from the side that says "Bose." Isn't music supposed to come out from both sides? What can I do to manually fix this? I wasn't given the receipt... how can I get this checked or fixed? Thank you!
I'm not a 100% sure but out of the 4 I had they seem to only play music from the Bose side

Turn off?
I have this speaker for a while now. But the thing that I don't like the most is there is no physical button to turn it off(or may be I don't know how to) so the speaker goes dead without noticing.
Can someone suggest me if there is a way to turn it off or how it works? Is it turned off automatically?

It should be a power button. The first button on the far left. Should cut it on and lights should come on plus make a noise and if you hit that button again all lights should go off to turn it off.
