the amount of memory on the chip was just what was needed for me to continue using my phone. Plus the added bonus of having the gentleman put it in for me so I wouldn't have to figure that out and possibly ruing the phone. it was a win-win all around

I see it plays mp3's burned onto a CD...will it also play mp3's burned onto a dvd? I want to be able to listen to as many songs as possible...
youre talking apples and oranges. the CD is an anchromyn for Compact Disc which is used for sound only. the DVD is used to record movement ie:movies,television, etc. anything from your MP3 wont burn onto a DVD.

Battery life
How long do the batteries last?
depends on how much you use them. the package gives the number of hours that are in the battery but if you run the device 24/7 then just subtract the number of hours that the battery is in use from the number of hours that are listed in the package and you will have youre answer.

as long as what you want to listen to has been burned onto a CD then yes.

What is the output power rating in mw for the headphones?
that should be listed in the owners manual that came with the headphones. if not, go on line and look it up

How can I return to a certain spot on a cd once turned off
Im using a bible cd and would like to be able to go to the same chapter and verse I left off at
instead of turning the device off, push the pause button to hibernate the disc that way when you come back all you will have to do is push the pause button again and pick up where you left off.

why does it register "error" all the time on my 1 yr. old disc player
why does it register "error" on my one year old player I listen to books on tape always an error
the "error" is due to something being wrong with the disc not the player

Display
Does the display show what track you are on? If so, I think I could resume an audiobook at almost the same place if I remembered or wrote down the track I stopped on. Similarly, does it show the radio station you are on?
yes, the display will show what track youre on but not it wont show what radio station youre on. as far as remembering where you left off on your book, just push the pause button when you want to stop reading and push it again when you want to start again and the audiobook will pick up where it left off. you don't have to remember.

how do I resume a Cd where I stopped?
i play books on CDs on my Insignia, purchased at Best Buy. When i stop a CD I can't figure out how to make it resume the next day at the same spot. Manual doesn't seem to address this.
there is a pause button on the right edge. it's pushed once to pause whatever youre listening to and a second time to pick up where you left off
