Many displays that come with Vesa mount hardware were being used by the stand. This one was not. As such, I could use the Vesa mounting bracket to mount a small form factor computer. Less clutter more desk space. Excellent idea.

What's not so great: It is not a Cisco device
I would have bought a cisco if they had one but so far this one is still working fine. I have had issues with Motorola surfboards resetting themselves in the past if you have a lot of bandwidth demand

Does this soundbar have an IR emitter in it already?
Yes it has an IR emitter already. I have no issues with my IR remote and my universal remote works great with it too.
