What's great about it: Superb Picture quality, Fairly easy to use, Great Package

Bought this camera as a present for my daughter completing her first year of college. She was selected to take pictures at all school functions so we wanted her to have a good camera. Also this was a test run for us to purchase one for ourselves. Playing around with this camera, it takes the best pictures I could have hoped for. Very professional looking photos with little knowledge of manual controls. Auto mode is the perfect setting for a beginner with DSLR and takes all the guess work out for you. Some time alone with this camera learning it's manual settings could only make the pictures better if that is possible. Originally we were going to buy the 3100 but then bought this package deal as a returned unit for $509 which was supposed to have been inspected by the Geek Squad. After purchasing we had the clerk open and test the unit. It was found the body of the camera was not working properly in making the auto focus work with the lenses. A brief conversation between the clerk and the manager and they switched the body with a brand new one from the case which did work properly with the lenses. I can't say enough good things about our local store for handling it this way, so we got a super deal! That aside this camera rocks and this is the camera I will buy again for ourselves! Do yourself two favors, Buy the 3200 package deal as the lenses alone are more expensive if bought separately, and two, buy from Best Buy as they had the lowest prices even for the non returned units than their competitors like BJ's and Sam's Club, Where you think they would be less!
