Setup is very easy. I have 2 computers, a multi-function printer and at least 1 cell phone connected at the same time. I have no drop in data speed. I do like having 1 unit VS a modem and router. There are advantages to both, for me a gateway works best. This unit has excellent security features, you can control access to your network and more. I do recommend downloading the full manual.

What's not so great: high windows explorer usage on 64bit system
I find Webroot to be the best of all virus programs I have used. It is cloud based so always up to date. The software has utilities to keep your system clean and also offers tools to test programs

What's not so great: fan roars occassionaly on start
I like the shape and the dual fans. Lately when I first start my laptop, the fans roar. If I wait to plug it in after my laptop is running a few minutes it does not. The "roar" began 3 weeks after I purchased. All in all it works and does what it is supposed to do.

This is a reliable brand, The cruzer comes with security software to encrypt files. 16gb is plenty for me as I am using this for transferring files and backup copies. 8gb would have been plenty but Best Buy had a very good sales price so I was able to purchase 16gb for not much more than 8gb at regular prices.

Yes, I have my phone connected using a port (hardwire), everything else is wireless and I still have another port available to hardwire another device.

what wifi range extender is compatable with router?
I work in my garage so I just need a Wi-Fi range extender in order to get my stuff done but i don't want to reduce speed if possible. my last option is to buy a stronger router which I am trying to avoid. any good suggestions

Can I use this with my Xfinity business router?
my small one man ofice has concast equipment and my router is shot. The modem is comcasts - so i have this router I will bring in and hope to hook up. Will it connect and work?
You dont need a separate router. This device is a wireless modem and router, its a gateway and serves as both a modem and router. It is made for Xfinity so you should have no problem.

This is a gateway, it does not use that type of memory
