I purchased this vacuum because I was looking specifically for a lightweight vacuum. This one is easy to lift and very easy to use. The hoses swap connection points when changing to the hand tools; you don't have to change out the hoses. The canister is easy to empty and has a trap at the bottom so you don't have to empty it from the top. Overall, it's an excellent buy. Much more user-friendly than my previous vacuum which was heavy-duty, but so heavy to maneuver for me as I am getting older.
I would recommend this to a friend!

ARE WHEELS HARD PLASTIC OR RUBBER?

Hard plastic with a kind of rubberized coating. I don't think they would scratch a hard floor.

How well does it work for shedding dog hair?

My dog is large and constantly sheds, currently I have a rainbow vac, those familiar with this type know that I have to fill it with water (A pain in the butt)
I have a heavy shedding lab, and yes, it does pick up hair really well. You just push a button to stop the brush from spinning and you can go straight to hard floors and continue chasing hair!
