Purchased these to supplement my Bose Acoustic headephone for my daily non travel activities. I found that these sound great and that the comfort of the ear pads exceed the Bose Acoustic ones. I use these for them gym and when I’m trying to get work done in my office without interruptions.

What's great about it: Quiet washer, Uses less water
What's not so great: Hard to put clothes in
I bought this washer to replace a top loader. I love this washer for the most part. It cleans well, is quiet and can hold a lot of clothes. It has a lot of cycles and features and I love the fact that it is so quiet. I can barely hear it running at times compared to my old clothes washer. I frequently go into the laundry room to make sure it is running. The only problem is it's difficult to load clothes into it since it is a front loader. I would have bought the pedestal for it, but doing so would have elevated the washer another 12" or so and covered up a quarter of my window in the laundry room. Thinking of stacking the washer and the matching dryer when I redo my laundry room. It also appears to be pretty "bulky" the way it is sitting further out into my laundry room. Overall, I am very happy with this machine. I can live with the reduced water and energy usage. I'm anxiously waiting my bills to see what impact it will have. It gets out all the tough stains from what I can tell. The detergent/fabric softener/bleach bin on the upper left hand side feels somewhat flimsy though and it always leaves a little bit of the "cleaners" in their respective bins - particularly the fabric softener and bleach dividers.

What's great about it: Lots of features, easy to use
What's not so great: Bulky!
I bought this dryer as part of a set to replace my electric dryer. My house is set up for gas or electric. This is a great dryer so far. Lots of features and various cycles. I'm impressed after using it for approximately one month. Most of the clothes come out of the dryer without needing to use an iron. The steam cycle works great. The only problem is that the Best Buy installation team couldn't install it and I had to get someone else to come out and install it because of the gas line valve not being to code. If I had known that would be the case, I would have just went to another company on this particular appliance. Overall- the dryer is great. It does seem pretty "big" in terms of the footprint it takes in the laundry room. That is the biggest negative so far. My laundry room feels even smaller now. I especially enjoy the fact that the "end of cycle" is not a loud buzzing noise that gets obnoxious.

What is the best type of laundry detergent to use? Does it need to be the HE type and does it matter liquid or powder?
I would use liquid and yes - it has to be the HE detergent. The "normal" detergent is too sudsy and probably won't rinse properly.
