WHAT IS DB LOSS OUT OF EACH PORT?
I NOW HAVE A 4 DB SPLITTER WITH A 7 DB PER PORT LOSS. I ONLY NEED 3-WAY SPLITTER,BUT I WANT A 3-WAY SPLITTER THAT LOOSSES LESS THAN 7 DB PER PORT AND THE SAME PER PORT , I WILL BE USING FOR OVER AIR ANTENNA. WILL 3-WAY SPLTTLER MODEL RF-G1308 WORK FOR ME OR DOES IT LOSE MORE SIGNAL THAN 4 SET SPLITTER THAT LOSE 7 DB PER PORT?
dB was old analog rating. -7dB was standard, and, down to -3.5dB on some ports. Check your current product for for MHz or GHz rating on its label. Those old "analog" splitters are rated for 5 - 1000 MHz! This is a maximum rating of 1GHz (1000MHz). Look for a "HD" splitter with rating on all ports of 2GHz / 2000 MHz or more. The Rockfish splitter (RF-G1308) I am using is a single COAX port in, with three (3) each 2GHz ports out. I "split" out 1) internet, 2) cable TV, & 3) telephone. Should help with signal loss. Good Luck!
