The item is small and compact, although, it is not concealable as I would like it to be. Sound quality is average. Features are ok but not intuitive to find and modify settings. Even if you read the manual, it is extremely confusing. It shows that was not written by an English speaking person. The worst drawback of all, is BATTERY LIFE. TOO short. I would prefer one with replaceable batteries, instead of charging it. If you are somewhere and you cannot re-charge it, you are out of luck. I would have returned it, but it passed the time limit, until I had enough time to use it fully.

I had Olympus recorders since the 80's. They were exceptional quality. This one? It was a complete failure. Poor quality recording, handling etc... I returned it within the 14 day grace period.

This is the worst washing machine I ever owned in my lifetime. I bought it because it has agitator, but it is worst choice I made. In the last 35 years, I had 2 other name brands before, which were perfect. Both of those companies don't make top loader with agitator. Otherwise, I would have bought from them.

Does this unit come with mounting hardware/support bracket? How long is the power cord?
It comes with all the installation attachments. Depending on what kind of windows you have, you may have to buy additional parts to install it. (Plexiglass to replace the missing window), if you have sliders. For single or double hung windows, you don't need anything extra.

WATER LEVELS
my mother just bought this machine and she is not statisfied with the water not covering up the clothes in the machine what is wrong with it?
Nothing wrong with the machine. It is with the regulations imposed on manufacturers to use less water. I fill up mine with a hose after it stops filling automatically. Make sure that you don't overflow it. Just to cover the clothes, never passed the top of the agitator's fins.

can this washer be returned to best buy
I bought this to replace a broken machine. It was cheaper than 500. to fix the old one. The water level is horrible. We followed all the directions and even tried the "troubleshooting" but the water is far under the cloths. No matter what we do the water is under the clothes. The first time we tried to wash our light queen quilt like cover it rocked so hard the washer moved 2 feet. We had to hold onto it so it didn't put a hole thru our wall. What is the point of having this machine if we have to go to the laundry mat? This isn't our first washer but it is the worst. I would not recommend at all.
I don't know what is your status with Best Buy. I have the Elite and I can return up to 30 days. Ask them if you can still return. With a quilt/comforter or a big piece to wash, you have to stay by the machine when it starts to spin. If it is vibrating, open the lid and try to lay the piece around the agitator, so the drum is balanced. Otherwise, it will go uncontrollable. It does with any machine. The analogy is the same as if you don't balance the wheels of your car.

why are my clothes wet?
I had a load that became unlevel and i was able to find the instructions to reset it, but my loads are not spinning all the water out. Kim
That might be a defect that has to be addressed with the manufacturer or a repairman. It should not do that.

Second/Third Rinses
I am trying to decide which new washing machine to buy. My family has detergent allergies, so with my current auto sensing washer I frequently have to re-rinse my clothes a second or even third time. I see that this machine has a power rinse which may help. But, if my clothes STILL need another rinse, is there a way to do that on this machine? Is there a way to run JUST a rinse?
Are you using softener in the washing machine? If you do: STOP. Never use the softener in there. Just use some in the dryer. Let me know how it is coming now.

Delicate Cycle
I am attempting to choose between 2 GE machines and am trying to compare the Light cycle on another machine to the delicate cycle on this one. Does the Delicate cycle on this machine (GHWN425DWW) "agitate" less often/ provide fewer strokes per minute, or move at a slower speed than the other cycles on this machine? Is the spin slower on Delicate than on the other cycles? If a GE tech could give me some numbers, that would be a real bonus ..... Thanks ~~
They are pretty much the same operation. Only their labeling is different from a manufacturer to another.

Just purchase this model. Would it be wise to buy the extended warranty?
Depending how heavy you are using it. If it is 3-4 times a week with regular household clothes, I would not buy any. The only help is to the rep from the store where you bought it. He/she gets a little commission when one is sold. Nothing wrong with helping them either a little more.

Do I need to be on extra spin to get reasonably dry clothes?
Items are still very wet after spin dry. Much wetter than I recall with my other washing machines.
No. They are dried enough at the regular setting. If you have very heavy/thick clothes/comforter etc, then maybe, you can use it at that extra, if needed.

Why does clothes come out so wrinkled ?
Clothes are really wrinkled after washing. After clothes come straight from the dryer, clothes are still wrinkled. Clothes I would hang up after taking from the dryer have to be pressed now. Bought the washer in January of this year. Is there a solution for eliminating so many wrinkles in my clothes ?
Yes. Put the Option selector at "Deep water Rinse" for all your loads and leave it there. It trick the computer to think that you are using softener and is drawing more water. NEVER USE SOFTENER IN ANY WASHING MACHINE. It is waste of money and the clothes come out more soiled. At this setting, you would not have the clothes as wrinkled.
