Was hoping this had the ability to move cursor and select within the slide show. Also the laser does not show up on a tv type monitor so if you are only using projector it's fine but will not work on a tv monitor.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Can you move the mouse with the presentation remote? Can you click on hyperlinks with the presentation remote?

No, that's why I bought it and it did not meet my expectations.
