It is no better than any other of their products. I think the quality may even be less than others. That being said, most of my cards and thumb drives are SanDisk.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the perfect length for any use. It is long enough to plug into the back of the older desktops and still be able to reach the the top of the desk.

I like that there are no extra wires for the USB ports, but they could be a little further apart for those larger items.

I got this to replace my last, less expensive camera. The focus was not fast enough for me and it seemed to jump around when I would pan over. It just didn't live up to it's price for me.

What's great about it: Didn't die in cold weather like the original did
What's not so great: Haven't used it long enough to find the pros and cons
The original battery had to be charged a few times before it was acceptable to use. This battery was ready to use on the first charge. It did not die when I took it out in the below zero weather and it has held the charge while taking videos.
About me... casual user, action shots and videos with my pups
I would recommend this to a friend!
