I wanted the extra features so I was willing to pay the extra money. Our stove burns everything (extremely low end appliance, but came with the house) so the ability to bake is what sold me. I gotta say I didn't remember what unburned brownies tasted like, but I do now! Extremely impressed with the convection cooking features!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Do I need a separate/special conversion kit for ducted venting? If so, details? Can I order/purchase at store?

Comes with three choices for venting. Top, back or recirculating, I did my own install and had no issues.

Can you bake with an actual cookie sheet (small 9 1/2 x 13)?

Wondering if this will both fit in the micro and if it will cook correctly? It seems like the circular tray will only bake maybe fries for 2, but I cook for a family and wouldn't ever cook an amount that small. I know it will cook a whole roast, but it seems like it will not cook a good family sized amount of something that needs to be spread out on a tray, ie chicken tenders or cookies. So just wondering if a cookie sheet can be used.
I use a cookie sheet in mine, but I turn off the turntable and rotate the tray in the middle of the cooking time. Otherwise one side will brown more than the other.
